Insurance Agency Opens at Mechanicsburg

The Mechanicsburg/Silver Spring Branch of AAA Central Penn has recently opened an Insurance Agency to fulfill all of your insurance needs.

Agent Karen Brandt of Cumberland County will be at the office Mondays through Fridays from 9:00am - 5:00pm to serve customers who make appointments or just walk in.

"AAA Insurance offers policies for auto, home, life, accident and health insurance through many quality providers, including Travelers, AAA Mid-Atlantic and Encompass," Karen said. In many cases, members receive special discounts.

"People fall into a rut of paying the same premium and never updating their coverage," Karen said. "With the climbing cost of everything, a savings on their insurance premium can mean the difference of what their being charged on an oil or electric bill." She said recently a man who was paying $3,000 for his family's auto insurance stopped in, and after Karen discussed his needs, she was able to save him $500 a year.

"Everyone's dollar is so much more important these days. There are so many things out of their control," she said, "so why pay too much for insurance?"

Karen is not new to AAA. She worked for AAA in Pennsylvania 13 years ago. She also worked as an insurance agent in New Jersey. Then she worked for a family construction business and returned to AAA in January. She is anxious to help people save money on their insurance needs while making sure they have the coverage they need.
