Chairperson's Message - Looking Forward to the future

As I begin communicating with you via my first chairperson’s message, I would like to express my thanks and appreciation to R. Mac Reeves for his excellent leadership and guidance as Chairperson of your club for these past two years. The transition has been a smooth one, thanks to his support and assistance.

During the past 20 years of affiliation with your club, I have served on numerous committees and have seen several successful mergers. I have also seen steady improvement and many beneficial additions to the membership card you carry in your wallet. The AAA credit card, car financing, Certificate of Deposit and Money Market Savings accounts are just a few of the financial products that have been developed to benefit our members. Insurance products have been expanded to provide a multitude of coverages at noticeable savings. Our battery program has been a success and continues to grow, part of our continuing effort to provide members exceptional service, convenience and safety "on the road." Members have saved millions of dollars nationwide with the Show Your Card and Save Program. Be sure to check the list of local SYC&S participants listed on pages 44 to 46. Your Board, staff and I shall continue to explore ways to increase the value of your AAA membership.

At our Annual Meeting in March, we welcomed two new Board members, Susan Simms Marsh and Jessica Meyers. We look forward to their contributions to our organization.

We are eagerly anticipating moving into our expanded Progress Avenue office and look forward to you visiting us there.

We will be announcing the opening of the new facility in this magazine, so stay tuned.
